MAY 2, 2005 It’s been a long time since I’ve last penned down a few words here. So long I’ve lost the touch of writing. I just finished a week-long holiday where I went to Cameron Highlands – my favorite highland resort in Malaysia. (Click here for some pictures.) Simply love the cool weather and slow pace of life up there. I’ve always said that I’ll love to retire there, plant some vegetables and flowers. Yeah right, talking about retirement at my age? Maybe not… But the real reason why I love it there is because of the cool weather. The first thing I felt when I reached back to the lowlands is the incredible heat and humidity. So hot, felt like melting. I really can’t stand the weather in Malaysia. During the week-long holiday I finally did my MY-KAD!! Yeap, but going by experience, we may need to go through the whole exercise in 10 years time. Maybe we’ll have a YOUR-KAD, SOMEONE’S-KAD, NOBODY’s-KAD or some crap like that. After all, Malaysia is fond of producing new identity cards now and then. However, the service at the NRD office in Putrajaya was fast and efficient. I did the card in less than an hour. What else did I do during the hols? I watched Dreamcatcher – interesting show. I had my dental check-up – clean bill of health! I did something with this website – cleared the dust and cobwebs. And now I’m waiting to go back to work tomorrow! Zzzzz….. Oh…I’m also one year older now! Calvin Tey
